I love having a fun response to, “How was your weekend?”
I took Little Nugget to the California Science Center this Sunday, August 24th. Of course, I tried to document as much as possible. The following pictures are a few of my favorite and are in order of event.
The intent was to have the California Science Center sign in the distance, but, well you see what happened. His little hand got ahold of the lens. He was mesmerized by the color that surrounded him. There’s a stained glass ceiling outside the entrance to the museum. It took me about 15 minutes to convince Little Nugget to go into the museum. He found an innocent group of pigeons that he chased…. and chased… and chased. A museum that you can run in? Listening to his echo for the first time. We both loved the discovery zones. These zones are designed for toddlers to elementary-aged children. They have dress-up, technology, art, and many other kinds of areas. The staff in the discovery zones were so kind and great with kids. Little Nugget was so happy he found his favorite instrument. There’s all types of simulators. And buttons you can push! And things you can build with. I strongly believe he thought hard at least once throughout his visit. Little Nugget jumping on a red blood cell. Air conditioned and comfy. We also visited the Rose Garden, and got sprayed with fountain water because of the perfect breeze. Little Nugget and his beverages! I live for these moments. It’s (mostly) all smiles with him. I’m just being honest. 😉 He was so pooped that he decided to sit and people-watch on our way to the car. Little Nugget’s mom rides a mountain bike. Can you tell? As soon as he heard that skateboarders were coming, he jumped up to wave at them. Caught this picture of the last skater noticing my camera. Took this one out of order because I absolutely love it. He’s our little big dreamer.
Cheers to Sunday Fundays!
