I remember reading something about enjoying the journey as much as the destination. Two weeks ago, my lover, some friends of his and I journeyed out to Las Vegas to attend Elton John’s first night as a Cesar’s Palace resident. Although Elton John was the reason to travel to Vegas, I will say that the trip there was as much fun as seeing the legend in concert. (This is coming from my photography-loving heart.)
I won’t verbally go into detail about what our trip was like because well, I feel like the pictures I’ve chosen to share do the talking. I was in heaven at every stop. It’s been over a year that I’ve enjoyed an inspiring photoshoot—I forgot how having a little one limits my photography opportunities—so this trip was more than I could’ve asked for.
I am so grateful for the inspiration I experienced at the sights we stopped to indulge in. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed producing them.
Cheers to practicing our passions!
Our first stop was the Bottle Tree Ranch.
There’s something about taking a picture of someone taking a picture that inspires my heart, especially when that person is my lover.
Friends sharing a journey.
Love these pictures!
I love seeing other people’s perspective.
I’m not as much of a fan of selfies as I am of self-portraits. And no, I can rarely take a normal picture.
Figuring out our next stop.
Our intention was to visit Zzyzx, however, the road was flooded halfway in. We settled with pulling over and experiencing the salt flats underneath our feet.
I think it’s safe to say that we made the most of what we safely had available to us.
My love and me.
My favorite(st) stop!
Seven Magic Mountains, an art installation located in Henderson, NV.
This was an exhilarating and at the same time calming experience.
My heart and eyes were in heaven!
I am grateful for these experiences and look forward to having more like this, with and without the Nuggets.
